Pendleton Bank West Virginia Road Trip

The creative staff at Pendleton Community Bank in West Virginia combined their annual June Customer Appreciation Day with a “Go Local” theme—making a very exciting road trip destination for ICBA D.C. staff!  Whitney and Thomas spent the afternoon in Franklin meeting local business owners and patrons (and perhaps scarfing down a hot dog or two). The “Go Local” message clearly resonates with the people of Franklin—most of them were sporting shirts that read “Join me, I’m banking locally!” compliments of Pendleton Community Bank. “‘Go Local’ is so much a part of the direction small towns need to take,” says Becky Lough, owner of Bowman’s Hardware on Main Street. “The community is a success or failure based on the local small businesses.”
