Pendleton Community Bank Goes Local for the Holidays

Every year, Pendleton Community Bank has a customer appreciation day, and 2012 was no different! On Dec. 14, we had a “Go Local for the Holidays” event. In combination with our customer appreciation day, we also joined forces with 14 local businesses. Each participating business was asked to hang a flyer in their window letting customers know that they were participating in Pendleton Community Bank’s “Go Local for the Holidays” event. For every $10 spent in one of those 14 businesses stores, customers could bring their receipts into our bank and be entered to win a variety of prizes. Not only was this a great way of supporting local businesses, but it also encouraged our community to go local this holiday season by banking locally with us and shopping locally in our town.

Our entire community got involved! The Pendleton County High School Vocal Ensemble even stopped by to sing Christmas tunes, and we had a visit from Santa Claus himself. People were encouraged to donate canned food for our local food pantry, and for every 10 cans donated per person, their names were entered into a drawing for door prizes from local businesses.

Was there a special way your bank spent the holiday season? Happy holidays!
